Valve has once again set the gaming world abuzz with the announcement of its latest innovation – the Steam Deck OLED. This new model is a significant leap from its predecessor, the regular LCD Steam Deck, and is poised to redefine the handheld gaming experience.

Steam Deck OLED: Brighter, Better, Bolder

The Steam Deck OLED model is a testament to Valve’s commitment to enhancing gaming experiences. Its most striking feature is the OLED screen, capable of reaching a dazzling 1,000 nits in brightness. This is not just an incremental upgrade; it’s a game-changer for handheld devices. Gamers can look forward to grabbing their own Steam Deck OLED starting November 16, with the device available in two storage variants: 512GB and 1TB, priced at $549 and $649 respectively.

What Will Be The Price For Steam Deck OLED Version?

In a strategic move, Valve has also slashed the prices of the regular LCD Steam Deck models. The 256GB version is now available at an attractive price of $399, offering an excellent entry-level option for gamers. However, with the 64GB and 512GB LCD versions selling out quickly, interested buyers need to act fast.

What Sets the Steam Deck OLED Apart?

The Steam Deck OLED isn’t just about a brighter screen. It boasts a plethora of features that elevate it above other handheld devices. The device offers a 1280×800 resolution on a 7.4″ diagonal display, slightly larger than the standard model. The 90Hz refresh rate, combined with a 6 nm APU and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, ensures a seamless gaming experience.

Connectivity is also a breeze with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. One of the most notable improvements is the battery life. The OLED model offers up to 12 hours of gaming, a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the LCD versions. Additionally, the OLED model is lighter, weighing about 30g less, which is a significant advantage for extended gaming sessions. Valve completes the package with a 45W power supply and an included cable in the OLED bundle.
